Welcome to learn traditional local skills! We organize workshop days which include workshop activities, a tour of the Saariniemi estate, a lunch or dinner with dessert and coffee or tea, and a sauna session by the lakeside saunas. Duration 4 hours, price 150e/person, minimum 4 persons.
Needle felting
Learn needle felting and create a memorable keepsake to take with you! The wool is shared from the estate´s own sheep and processed using traditional methods of washing and carding.
Making kampanisus
Bake kampanisus (Finnish pastry) using Grandma Betty´s secret recipe. Finally, enjoy these delicious pastries with tea or coffee.
Learn about history
Learn about the olden days of Saariniemi estate and Finland, with the help of the annual rings of the tree and historical artifacts.
